The vacation getaway and resort area of Coronado is about an hour drive from Panama City along the Pacific Coast. Coronado has a unique advantage over other vacation towns along the Pacific since it was the first resort area to develop and now has a well established infrastructure in place. Visitors to Coronado can easily find; supermarkets, pharmacies, fine cuisine, hospitals, retail stores and fresh food markets in abundance.

Coronado was founded in 1941 by Bob Eisenmann and thanks to him and his families' efforts this area is considered to be Panama’s first and most successful recreational / residential development. Coronado is a mixture of homes, villas, duplexes and condominiums surrounded by the best and most complete infrastructure in the area.

The real estate market in Coronado is very popular due to it's natural beauty and also it's close proximity to Panama City. Separate from the main Coronado resort complex is an entire community of homes and villas.  The main attraction for most people is the beach club where one can sit back, relax and enjoy the sun while taking turns swimming in the ocean and enjoying tropical cocktails.

There are literally miles of beaches to enjoy and it is not hard to find a secluded and private area for couples or friends to have a private party.  The beaches in Coronado are comprised of a mix of white and volcanic sands giving the beach a marble complexion.

Coronado is located in the Chame area of Panama which in recent years has seen a boom in residential and resort developments.  Coronado was the first and is the best established with the most infrastructure making it highly desirable as an investment property for locals and foreigners alike.  Resorts and communities such as the 4 star Decameron Resort, Barcelo Resort and Vista Mar are just a few of the projects that have been built along Panama's Pacific coast in recent years.

From a purely investment standpoint Coronado's advantages include; close proximity to Panama City, well developed infrastructure, miles of beaches and it's possible to live year round in the area.  The disadvantages include; congestion on weekends as there is a massive influx of weekend tourist traffic and the necessity to drive an hour to Panama City for some specialty needs that can not be found in the Coronado area.
